Terror attack in Barcelona leaves many dead, scores injured
A terrorist van hits crowd in Las Ramblas in Barcelona, Spain on Thursday afternoon leaving unspecified number of people dead and many others injured.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that at least 13 people have been killed and dozens injured after a suspected terrorist crashed into a crowd of people on a pavement in a popular tourist area of Barcelona.
Spainish authorities say that they expect the death toll to rise following the attacks.

It was also gathered that there are also reports of hostage incident at a Turkish restaurant near the scene.

An official of the Ministry of the Interior revealed that the vehicle had hit pedestrians in Las Ramblas, a busy tree-lined promenade in the centre of the city.
Barcelona police said “Huge collision on Las Ramblas in Barcelona by an individual driving a van, left many injured.
It was learnt that the street the van crashed into is well-known and popular in the city and is visited by tourists and locals alike who go there for relaxation in bars, restaurants.
National Daily recalls that since July 2016, terrorist sects have resorted to the use of vehicles to ram into crowds in several attacks across Europe, killing well over 100 people in Nice, Berlin, London and Stockholm.
