Zamfara police commissioner receives COVID-19 vaccine
The Commissioner of Police in Zamfara, Mr Abutu Yaro, on Tuesday, received first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine against Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the vaccine was administered on the police chief by Sgt. Muhammad Sa’idu of police clinic, Gusau.
NAN further reports that all other senior police officers in the state received the vaccine during the event at police headquarters, Gusau.
The CP urged police officers in the state to make themselves available for the vaccination.
He said “I want to use this opportunity to call on all police officers in the state to cooperate with us in this directive.
“The vaccination is painless, harmless and extremely comfortable in the body as it is good for our health.
“As security personnel, the healthier we are, the better we can contribute to the security of our country.
“All police men and women in the state are enjoined to register and make sure that they are vaccinated.”
