Zelensky begs Norway for more gas to Ukraine, European Union
President Volodymyr Zelensky Ukraine on Wednesday begged Norway to supply more energy to Ukraine and the European Union. Norway is the second highest supplier of gas to Europe after Russia. The conflict in Ukraine is escalating, while sanctions against Russia are causing gas shortage in Europe. The Ukrainian President also called on European countries and others to block Russian vessels from all ports across the world.
Zelensky in a video address to the Norwegian parliament, appealed: “You can make a decisive contribution to the energy security of Europe by providing the necessary resources, both for the countries of the European Union and for Ukraine.”
