Apostle Anselm Madubuko, General Overseer, Revival Assembly Church, Lagos, has called on Nigerians to stop pursuing wealth and fame, but seek first the glory of God.

Madubuko gave the advice on Thursday at the 2021 Acts of Apostle Conference organised by the Holy Ghost Royal House of Restoration Church in Ibadan.

He said that lots of Nigerians were fasting, purposely to become rich and famous, forgetting to seek God’s glory, as the only way to succeed in life and hereafter.

Madubuko said it was high time for Nigerians to go back to God, stop pursuing earthy materials and sought God’s intervention for things to work well in the country.

“Stop fasting to get money and fame, but for God’s glory; it is high time we move closer to God.

“If you fast purposely for the glory of God, money, fame and other things will definitely come your way.

“Things are not working the way it should be in Nigeria, because we have let prayer for earthy luxuries things supercede everything we request from God.

“To get it right, we must go back to God to get His glory,” he said.

In his remarks, Supreme Archbishop Emmanuel Powerson, General Overseer of the church, said that the conference was to discourage people from pursuing the earthy matterials.

Powerson said that many people had neglected the way of God and started looking for miracles where they do not exit.

He said that many people made money rituals by killing innocent souls, purposely to become rich and famous.

Powerson called on Nigerians to change their thinking and move closer to God.

He, also advised Nigeria leaders to do more in addressing the nation’s security challenges and be God fearing in whatever they do.
