JAMB fixes cut off mark at 140 for 2022 university admission
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and heads of tertiary institutions in Nigeria on Thursday announced the 140 as cut-off mark for admissions into the universities in the country for the 2022/2023 academic year.
The Registrar of JAMB, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, after the 2022 Policy meeting on Admissions, presided by the Minister of Education in Abuja, disclosed that the cut-off marks for universities is 140, and 100 cut off for Polytechnics and colleges of education.
The Registrar of JAMB, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, revealed that the cut-off was decided after vice chancellors of universities, rectors of polytechnics and provosts of colleges of education voted for the declared figures. He noted, however, every institution has the right to fix its own cut-off mark even up to 220, but none should be below the agreed minimum cut off marks of140 for universities, 100 for colleges of education, and polytechnics, respectively.
