Manchester United star becomes a father for the first time
This is definitely a good moment for Manchester United star Mason Greenwood following his announcement of the birth of his first child with his girlfriend.
The 21-year-old forward, shared a black and white image on Instagram of the newborn’s hand held within both of theirs, and simply captioned it: ‘11.07.23’.

The joyous moment however comes amid the awaited decision by United on the striker’s future, after he was suspended since January 2022, when he was arrested following the release of images and video online from a female acquaintance.
Charges of attempted rape, coercive behaviour and assault were dropped against Greenwood earlier this year but he remains suspended by United as the club undertake an internal investigation
Manchester United have yet to confirm a decision on his future, as the investigation continues.
The Instagram announcement, which was Greenwood’s first post on the platform since January 2022, gained thousands of likes in minutes, though he kept his comments turned off.
Earlier this year it was reported Greenwood had plans to marry his partner, who is understood to be a university student.
The Sun reported he had told his family about marriage plans, while later in the year she celebrated a baby shower.
They have yet to reveal the baby’s gender.
