Ogun State set for Saturday’s local government elections, OGSIEC assures voters

In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday, the Chairman of OGSIEC, Mr. Babatunde Osibodu, assured that everything was set for a smooth and successful election.
He called on eligible voters to come out in large numbers to exercise their civic duties.
Osibodu further emphasized that electoral materials were already being transported to the relevant local government areas to ensure timely and efficient distribution ahead of the polls.
A visit to the commission’s office in Abeokuta on Friday revealed that transport operators and security personnel needed for the distribution of sensitive materials were already in place.

Electoral officers from the local governments were also seen at the commission’s headquarters, ready to collect the materials for the election.
Earlier, OGSIEC had sought the support of key stakeholders, including the media, in its efforts to ensure a credible election.
The commission reiterated its commitment to conducting a free and fair process, with all logistics in place for a successful election day.
