See what #Resumeorresign protest turns to in UK
The UK police has granted a series of permits to Nigerians in London as they embark on a #Resumeorresign procession and vigil against the indefinite stay of President Muhammadu Buhari at the Abuja House in London.
A UK-based Nigerian, Chidi Cali, told Sahara reporters that the London Metropolitan police has permitted his group to hold the protest rally in front of the Abuja House in London.
The mass protest starts Friday at 3 PM London time.
He said the protest will take place on Friday, August 18 at 5pm and Saturday, August 19, at 8:30 at 2, Campden Hill, Kensington W8 7AD.
There would be a candlelight vigil and procession that will last several hours to force Buhari to either resume work in Nigeria or resign as Nigeria’s President.
The permits include suspension of parking in the vicinity of the area as well and protective police barricades throughout the duration of the protest.
Chidi also added that a 7-day sit-out will follow if the president refuses to vacate the official Nigerian property in London, and to resume work in good time.
