The newly completed Anambra State Government House in Awka served as the venue for the inaugural meeting of the 8th Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC), marking a significant milestone under the administration of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

The historic meeting reviewed key developmental initiatives, including the much-anticipated Kaolin factory, and set strategic directions for state-wide transformation.

According to a statement signed by the Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, the Council extensively examined the status report on the Kaolin factory and concluded that the facility is now ready for commercial production.

Following the review, ANSEC resolved that the factory’s privatization process would commence after the successful completion of its proof-of-concept phase to ensure sustainable profitability and efficient management.

Another landmark decision from the meeting was the formal initiation of the Anambra Country Club project, located within the newly commissioned Solution Fun City in Awka.

Designed as a state-of-the-art recreational and relaxation hub, the Country Club is expected to provide residents and visitors with a premium destination for leisure and community engagement.

“The Council was optimistic that the outcomes of this executive session will promote the welfare, unity, security, and prosperity of Ndi Anambra, Nigerians, and indeed humanity,” Dr. Mefor stated.

Governor Soludo’s administration, which has continued to earn national and regional accolades, is fast transforming Anambra into what has been described as the “Dubai-Taiwan-Silicon Valley” of Nigeria—a hub of innovation, business, and sustainable economic development.

The Commissioner outlined the administration’s achievements across key sectors: Infrastructure: Massive road construction and flyover projects are underway, improving connectivity across the state’s urban and rural areas. Modern drainage systems are also being installed to mitigate flooding and erosion.

Healthcare: Soludo’s government has been recognized as the best-performing in primary healthcare in both the Southeast and nationwide. The state is building general hospitals equipped with telemedicine technology and has recruited skilled medical personnel to improve service delivery.

Education: Smart schools are being constructed, and over 8,200 teachers have been employed as part of efforts to provide free, quality education and raise academic standards across the state.

Urban Renewal: Towns and cities are undergoing regeneration with strategic planning aimed at improving livability and resilience.

The ANSEC meeting and its wide-ranging decisions reflect the administration’s commitment to delivering the “Soludo Solution” — a holistic development agenda designed to make Anambra a model state in innovation, governance, and economic excellence.
