Atiku mourns Babalakin, Wushishi
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Sunday acknowledged the death of two outstanding statesmen, Justice Bolarinwa Babalakin and General Muhammed Wushishi, who passed away on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Atiku, in a statement on Sunday, emphasised that the death of the two great Nigerians one day apart was a great loss to the country.
Atiku described the late legal luminary, Babalakin, as someone who contributed immensely to the law profession in Nigeria, both at the Bar and Bench, and remarked that “the legacies he left behind will remain indelible for a long time to come.”
The former Vice President stated that General Wushishi had an outstanding military career, lived a worthy life and carried himself with dignity as an ambassador and icon of the great people of Wushishi in Niger State.
Atiku sent his sympathy and condolences to the two families of Babalakin and Wushishi on the loss of their patriarchs, and prayed to the Almighty Allah to forgive their shortcoming and grant the two departed souls into Aljannah Firdaus.
