Atiku set to travel to US – Doyin Okupe
Doyin Okupe, Campaign Director of the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Campaign Organisation, disputes the claimed US travel ban on the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, with a revelation that Atiku will be travelling to the US at the end of November 2019. National Daily learnt that Okupe made the revelation in relation to the scheduled event where the Atiku will be making a presentation and delivering a paper at the occasion to address a community in the US, including officials of the US Government between November 24 and 29, 2019.
National Daily gathered that Doyin Okupe contended that the campaign of corruption against Atiku will not stand because it’s false. The Campaign Aide of the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, who is the Director General of the Campaign Council of Atiku;s Presidential Campaign, on his Twitter declared: “Atiku contested Presidency in 2007 on the platform of the Action Congress, AC; Nobody called him a thief, then, neither was he known then to be corrupt.
“I often wonder if the Atiku running for President today is the same that ran in 2007. This orchestrated campaign of calumny against Atiku will not stand because it’s false.
“Concerning the little understood but copiously exaggerated supposed travel ban on Atiku. His Excellency and incoming President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will be traveling to the US for official and some public engagements by the end of Nov 2018.”
As earlier indicated, the engagements in the US will take place between November 24 and 29, 2018.
