Family rejects N100k offer after policeman kills woman in crash
The family of a 35-year-old woman, Patience Ashenenye, who passed away in an accident caused by a policeman, reportedly received the sum of N100,000 as compensation.
The unfortunate accident took place in the area located behind the Ta’al Conference Hotel, which is close to the School of Health in Nasarawa State. This incident not only caused harm to the mother but also resulted in her three-month-old son being hospitalized due to a broken leg.
Reports indicate that the mother and her young son were riding on a motorcycle when they were struck by a policeman driving at high speed in a government-owned Hilux vehicle. The impact of the crash was severe, leading to significant injuries for both the mother and the child. The entire situation has left the family in distress and has raised concerns about safety on the roads, especially regarding high-speed driving by those in authority.

Her family, however, rejected the sum, stating they were only interested in justice for her untimely death.
