Germany and Kenya set to sign migration agreement
Germany is poised to finalize a significant migration agreement with Kenya this Friday, as part of a broader strategy to address labor shortages and streamline immigration processes.
Germany and Kenya are poised to finalize a migration agreement this Friday, as Kenyan President William Samoei Ruto makes a diplomatic visit to Berlin.
The agreement aims to streamline the recruitment of skilled labor from Kenya and simplify the repatriation process for Kenyans residing in Germany without legal authorization.
The deal will be signed by German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser and Kenyan Foreign Minister Musalia Mudavadi.
This agreement is part of the German coalition government’s broader migration strategy, which seeks to enhance immigration management amid mounting pressure from both conservative and emerging political parties.
Germany has previously established similar agreements with India and Georgia.
Furthermore, a new agreement is scheduled to be signed during Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s forthcoming visit to Uzbekistan.

Ongoing negotiations are also in progress with countries such as Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, signifies Germany’s continued commitment to expanding its migration partnerships.
