Gunmen invade Ogun Mosque, kidnap Police Inspector, two others
Gunmen, during prayer time, invaded a mosque at Soyoye in Abeokuta North Local Government Area, Ogun State, kidnapped a police Inspector, Inspector Kamarudeen Bello, identified as the Chief Imam of Mosque, and two other worshippers.
The kidnappers were said to have contacted the families of the victims, demanding N5 million ransom for each of the victims, that is N15 million for the three victims.
It was revealed that “The wife of Inspector Kamarudeen was contacted with the phone number of one of the kidnapped victims.”
Meanwhile, the police inspector and other victims were said to have regained their freedom from the custody of the kidnappers after paying ransom. H0w much they paid was, however, not ascertained.
