After one session, man drags prostitute to sharia court for contract breach
A 30-year-old businessman Umar Aliyu has brought Fatima Aliyu, a commercial sex worker, before a Sharia Court in Magajin Gari, Kaduna.
Her offence was not the haram of selling her body to the businessman for a fee.
Umar dragged her before the holy court on Friday for allegedly stealing his Samsung cell phone worth N80,000—after a session–in addition to the service fee.
The phone was no part of the contract, though. Umar actually fell into a ring of criminals that uses sex to lure their victims.
For Umar also filed a suit against two men, Muhammad Tukur and Imran Tukur, for allegedly conspiring with Fatima to commit the offence.
The Prosecution Counsel, Insp Ibrahim Shuaibu, told the court that the complainant requested for the service of the hooker, and they agreed on N10,000.
He said that the complainant transferred the fee to Muhammad’s account. How he got the alert and ran off off with the client’s phone remained an intrigue.
Shuaibiu said the offence contravened the provisions of sections 59, 142 and 271 of Kaduna State Penalty Code.
The defendants pleaded not guilty.
The judge, Malam Murtala Nasir, admitted the defendants to bail on the condition they provide a reliable surety.
The judge adjourned the matter until Sept. 21 for ruling.
