Reactions on Twitter after Atiku Abubakar said Murtala Mohammed paid the supreme price for Nigeria
Nigerians have reacted after Dr Atiku Abubakar made a lengthy post on Twitter while paying tribute to former military leader, Late Gen Murtala Mohammed.
In his post, Atiku explain how Nigeria lost a real Nigerian hero forty six years ago while describing as a man who gave so much to his nation and eventually paid the supreme price for the love of Nigeria.
He also pointed how the late Gen. was in a hurry to develop Nigeria and never lived to enjoy the shades of the trees he planted. He further said Murtala Mohammed help increase the participation of Nigerians in their own economy by introducing the indigenisation policy. He further said he remembers the great pride Nigerians had at after his “Africa Has Come of Age Speech” at the meeting of the Organization Of African Unity in Addis Ababa.
