Chris Rock refuses to press charges against Will Smith

American comedian, Chris Rock, has declined to press charges against actor, Will Smith, who hit him on the stage of the Oscars on Sunday night.

Rock had been smacked after he made a joke about Will Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith being in “G.I. Jane” because of her shaved head.

The statement from the Los Angeles Police Department said, “LAPD investigative entities are aware of an incident between two individuals during the Academy Awards program. The incident involved one individual slapping another. The individual involved has declined to file a police report. If the involved party desires a police report at a later date, LAPD will be available to complete an investigative report.”
