Four Oyo federal lawmakers declare support for State APC leadership
Four federal lawmakers in the House of Representatives, representing different constituencies in Oyo State, declared their support for the leadership of the State All Progressives Congress (APC). The lawmakers denounced any form of litigation in the party.
The lawmakers, who include Akeem Adeyemi, Jide Olatubosun, Tolulope Akande-Sadipe and Olumide Ojerinde in a joint statement on Thursday, declared: “Sequel to the meeting held at the Oluyole Estate, residence of our leader, late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, convened by his wife, Dr. Florence Ajimobi, in the interest of APC Oyo, wherein all tendencies in Oyo State APC agreed to work with the State Party leadership going forward to ensure APC Oyo has a united front as we approach the 2023 general election.
“We, the undersigned, totally agree with the resolutions reached at that meeting and we, therefore, are not in support of the letter dated 17th May 2022 addressed to the APC National Party Chairman, in respect of Suit No FHC/ABJ/CS/ 147/2022, as we believe this may truncate the ongoing reconciliation process”.
