INEC sanctions, removes Resident Electoral Commissioner in Sokoto
According to the letter, Dr. Nura Ali has been directed to stay away from the Commission’s office in Sokoto State until further notice.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had on Monday sanctioned the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Sokoto State, Dr. Nura Ali, suspending him from office with immediate effect.
INEC’s Secretary, Rose Orlaran-Anthony, in a letter to the Resident Electoral Commissioner and the Administrative Secretary in the state, directed Dr Nura Ali to stay away from the Commission’s office in Sokoto State till further notice.
The Administrative Secretary, Hajiya Aliyu Kangiwa, was directed to take full charge of the INEC office in Sokoto State until further notice.
