Kidnappers nab for killing 71-year-old, one other after collecting ransom
The Ogun State Police Command has arrested two kidnappers who allegedly killed their victims after collecting ransom from their families.
The suspects identified as Chukwuma Bartholomew and Igwe Monday were arrested on June 28, 2024, in Ijebu-Igbo after a thorough investigation by the anti-kidnapping squad of the command.
Their victims: a 71-year-old farmer, Adekunle Ifelaja, and one Ogunyemi Femi, were abducted in December 31, 2023 and November 23, 2023 respectively. They were later killed and buried in a shallow grave inside a forest despite their families paying ransom to the kidnappers.
