Police arraign 4 for shop breaking, stealing
Police arraign four persons on Tuesday, at an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, Oyo State, for alleged shop breaking and stealing.
The arraigned persons were identified as David Adams, 29, Yakubu Matthew, 29, Paul Prosper, 26 and ThankGod Joseph, 26.
The accused, whose addresses were not provided were charged with conspiracy, shop breaking and stealing, to which they pleaded not guilty.

The Prosecutor, Insp Oladejo Balogun, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on Oct. 11, 2024, at about 12.00hours, at Ologuneru area, Ibadan.
Balogun said the defendants broke and entered into the shop of one Mrs Opeyemi Sukurat and stole her items including bags of rice, spaghetti, semovita and vegetable oil.

Balogun said the offences contravened Sections 516, 414 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs. Olasinmibo Sanusi-Zubair, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N200, 000 each with two reliable sureties each in like sum.
Sanusi-Zubair, thereafter, adjourned the case to Dec. 17, for hearing.
