Mikano Motors celebrates Miss Nigeria legacy, gifts Changan Eado Plus to Queen

In a dazzling ceremony filled with pride, passion, and promise, Mikano Motors officially handed over a brand-new Changan Eado Plus to Doris Ogah, the newly crowned 45th Miss Nigeria.

The event, which took place in Lagos, marked the beginning of a strategic partnership between Mikano Motors and the Miss Nigeria pageant, a celebrated institution that continues to champion the beauty, strength, and brilliance of Nigerian women.

The stylish Changan Eado Plus, known for its refined design and cutting-edge features, was presented as both a luxurious gift and a symbolic gesture of empowerment.

Joelle Haykal, Executive Director at Mikano International, highlighted the importance of the collaboration, stating: “This partnership represents our commitment to empowering women and supporting local talent within our communities.

“This aligns perfectly with Miss Nigeria’s 2024 theme, ‘Cultural Heritage and Community Engagement.’ For us at Mikano, giving back to society is not just a duty—it’s a tradition.”

Also speaking at the event was Omar Karameh, Executive Director of Mikano International Limited, who emphasized the company’s broader commitment to Nigeria’s cultural and creative sectors.

“The Miss Nigeria pageant is more than a beauty contest—it is a launchpad for future female leaders. Mikano is proud to support platforms that celebrate intelligence, leadership, and resilience. We trust that these values will continue to inspire generations of Nigerian women.”

In her heartfelt remarks, Miss Nigeria 2024, Doris Ogah, expressed deep gratitude, describing the experience as life-changing.

“Winning this crown is more than a personal victory—it’s a call to purpose. I am incredibly grateful to Mikano Motors for this generous gift. Receiving the Eado Plus, my very first car, is not just a dream come true; it represents mobility—both literal and symbolic—on the journey ahead”

“I plan to use this platform to champion access to quality education, job opportunities, and sexual health awareness for girls across Nigeria. I’m also excited to launch key projects such as a Beauty & Fashion Fair and a Green Garden initiative for sustainability.”

Veteran actress and Chairperson of the Miss Nigeria Board, Rita Dominic Anosike, delivered a stirring speech on the evolving legacy of the pageant: “Reviving the Miss Nigeria franchise has never been just about crowning queens—it’s about creating a movement.

“Through strategic partnerships like this one with Mikano, we are not only celebrating beauty but also empowering the next generation of women to lead with confidence and purpose. This car is more than a prize—it’s a powerful reminder that dreams are valid, and excellence is rewarded.”

On behalf of Changan, Tom Yin, Vice General Manager of Changan MEA, celebrated the growing partnership with Mikano and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to the Nigerian market: “Changan has been dedicated to enriching human life and leading automotive civilization for over 163 years.
