Osun APC calls for three-day fasting, prayers
All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has urged citizens to observe a three day special fasting and praying period from Wednesday, January 6 to Friday, January 8, 2016.
The state chairman of the party, Prince Gboyega Famodun, announced this in a statement released in Osogbo today.
According to the chairman, everybody in Osun owes it a duty to themselves and the state to seek divine intervention so that our losses of last year may be restored.
The other reason for this fasting and prayers, the party said is to plead for God’s favour so that the year, 2016 will reverse the unpleasant fortunes that characterized last year, and bring prosperity and blessing instead.
The APC also appealed that ‘it is very important for everybody to participate in this special fasting exercise because there is greater strength in the prayers of a people who are united, and with one voice, ask specific favours from God.
‘The people of Osun therefore should prayerfully, (with fasting), ask for restoration of lost fortunes and God’s divine endowment of a prosperous 2016’, the party urged the people.
