Apostle Suleiman honours DSS invitation
- arrives with two governors
After several hours of waiting, Apostle Johnson Suleiman, finally arrived at the DSS office about 7:45pm on Monday evening.
National Daily gathered that he reported at the office of the Department of State Services (DSS), Abuja, with two undisclosed state governors.
It was learnt that the pastor had been invited to appear at the agency for 10am, but eventually got there at about 7:45 pm in the company of two governors, who did not want to be named.
Suleiman had been invited to DSS office over an alleged inciting sermon he delivered in his church two weeks ago, where he was said to have told his congregation to defend themselves against unwarranted attacks in addition to ordering his security aides to kill any herdsman who would come around the premises because he learnt they were after him.
As a result, the ebullient preacher was confronted by the DSS last Wednesday, when they laid a siege to his hotel room in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, with the intention of arresting him, before the arrival of Governor Ayo Fayose, who eventually prevented his arrest.
He was subsequently formally invited to report at the DSS office in Abuja.
However, prior to Monday’s visit to DSS office, the cleric had remained resolute that he would not withdraw his statement, claiming that he made it in self-defence, as he had information that some Fulani herdsmen were planning to attack him.
