How drug war led to mass murder in Catholic Church
Hours after the callous killings at the St. Philip Catholic Church, Ozubulu, in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State, unconfirmed police source says the killing was orchestrated by some drug barons.
National Daily gathered that a police sources revealed that their preliminary investigation indicated that a rival drug baron trailed the father of another drug baron to the church with a view to killing him.
It was alleged that the gunmen that carried out the shooting are assassins who were in search of a drug lord called “Bishop” and his father.
It was further gathered that the gunmen went to the church to kill Bishop’s father but in the process of carrying out the act mistakenly shot other people.
Bishop is said to be a 29 years old South African based drug baron, who single handedly built the church where the heinous crime took place.

Corroborating this position, the Governor of Anambra state, Willie Obiano also stated that a feud between two brothers led to the shooting at the Catholic Church where about eight people were killed and others injured.
