Emery praises Pepe ahead of expected arrival
Arsenal manager Unai Emery has called Nicolas Pepe a “very good player” ahead of his potential trasfer from Lille. The Ivory Coast international is likely to make the move to North London as the Gunners are prepared to smash their transfer record to buy him.
Pepe will cost the Gunners £72m ($89m) and is expected to make a decision on his future soon after returning from his holidays next week.
Also Sport in Spain is reporting that Barcelona will not part with Nelson Semedo for less than his full release clause, thought to be €90m (£81m/$100m). Manchester City have reportedly asked after the full-back, but Barca are not minded to sell him. The Premier League champions asked after the Portugal international after their interest in Joao Cancelo of Juventus was snuffed out.
