Igboho supporters protest DSS raid in Ibadan, block major roads
Supporters of Yoruba Nation Agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho on Wednesday staged a protest in Ibadan, the Oyo state to protest last week’s raid on the activist home.
It would be recalled that operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) had last week raided Igboho’s Soka residence Ibadan, killing two persons and arresting other associates of the activist.
DSS spokesperson Peter Afunaya said a total of seven AK 47 rifles were recovered, alongside pump action guns and 5,000 rounds of ammunition including other weapons.
The raid however had been condemned by many Nigerians including activist lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN, Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka.

His supporters on Wednesday gathered at the front of the house to protest before moving round the metropolis of Ibadan.
Many berated the operatives for declaring Igboho wanted, while some others stated that the Federal Government must pay the N500m damages as requested by Igboho’s lawyer.
Many of the supporters carried placards while some others chanted “No retreat, no surrender!”, “Oodua Nation!”, “Sunday Igboho is not a criminal!” amongst others.
