2 Political positions that Oshiomole may occupy in 2023
The political achievements of former national chairman of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomole can never be overemphasized, when discussing the political success that the party has attained, thus far.
The untimely exit of Comrade Adams Oshiomole as the national chairman of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), may be compensated if the ruling party retains the presidential seat beyond 2023.
Remarkably, Comrade Adams Oshiomole was, in 1982, appointed as the General Secretary of National Union of Textile, Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria. Comrade Adams Oshiomole served as President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) between 1999 and 2007. Comrade Adams Oshiomole has, proudly, represented African Workers, for two terms, on the Governing Body of the International Labour Organisation (ILO). Adams Oshiomole was also a members of the Executive Board of the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions.
Comrade Adams Oshiomole has also served, twice, as the Executive Governor of Edo State between 2008 and 2016. Comrade Adams Oshiomole was elected as the national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress on July 24, 2018. He was, untimely, sacked as the national chairman of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), on June 16, 2020.
First, the accomplishments of Comrade Adams Oshiomole in the Labour and Productivity sector are great enough to better position him as Minister of Labour and Productivity, if the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) retains the presidential seat beyond 2023.
If Comrade Adams Oshiomole is appointed as the Minister of Labour and Productivity, he can surely use his expertise in the sector to booster the relationship between workers and government. This will, certainly, maximise productivity and the Internally Generated Revenue of the country may be boosted.
Secondly, the political magnanimity of Comrade Adams Oshiomole and his dogged performance when he was serving as the national chairman of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), may position him to be appointed as Chief of Staff, in the Office of the President.
Noticeably, Comrade Adams Oshiomole has versatile character that could be desired in a Chief of Staff. He is dogged and politically informed to the level of, effectively, running the Office of Chief of Staff to the President, if the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) wins the 2023 presidential elections.
