Nigerian lawmaker dies in Saudi Arabia
Hon. Ibrahim Kurami, a member of the Katsina State House of Assembly, has reportedly died in Medina, Saudi Arabia.
Alhaji Nasiru Danguga, who confirmed the sad incident, said Kurami died after a brief illness at around 2:00 am Nigerian time.
According to him, the deceased has been buried following Islamic rites by Saudi authorities.
Kurami left behind two wives, eleven (11) children, and three grandchildren.
He was elected into the Katsina State House of Assembly in a by-election conducted on October 31, 2020, following the death of his predecessor, Hon. Abdurrazak Ismail Tsiga.
Before his demise, he represented the Bakori constituency in Katsina.
