Fire guts police van in Lagos
A vehicle belonging to the police unit, Rapid Response Squad, in Lagos, was on Tuesday gutted by fire on Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria Island, Lagos State.
This was revealed via the RRS Twitter handle.
According to RSS’ tweet, their officers escaped with injuries but some lives were lost in the incident.
“RRS vehicle on patrol of Adeola Odeku was this morning involved in a fire incident. Although lives were lost in the incident, our officers escaped with injuries,” part of the tweet read.

According to eyewitnesses, the fire started from a structure housing a generator and spilled onto the road where it consumed a parked police car.
Some persons escaped the fire with injuries while some others lost their lives.
