Lawan denies contesting for 10th National Assembly senate president
The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has denied contesting for the President of the Senate in the 10th National Assembly.
The Senate President in a statement, asserted that reports linking him to the race for the senate president is untrue. He said that he never informed anyone or held a meeting with any individual that he is contesting for the President of the 10th Senate.
Lawan maintained that he abides with the decision of the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership on zoning, and is committed to finding solutions to the lingering crisis over the zoning decision.
