60-year-old man reportedly flogged to death by his kinsmen
A man, Mr. Kenneth, 60, has passed away in Nza Ozubulu, Anambra State, hours after being flogged.
According to eyewitnesses, Kenneth was flogged because he allegedly sold a water tank in his family house and used the money to solve family issues.
Subsequently, his younger brother allegedly arrested him with a vigilante group who carried out the punitive measure. In a viral video seen by our ciorrespondent, the vigilante group can be seen flogging him with a cutlass as he writhed in pain.
Nigerians have taken to social media to call on the state governor and the police to ensure that the perpetrators face the full wrath of the law.
They are also calling on the government to protect his bereaved wife and children who are being int!m!dated in their efforts to seek justice for Mr. Kenneth.
