Police reveal identities of suspects in Benue MACBAN chairman murder
Tnhe Benue State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of 10 suspects in connection with the killing of the Benue State Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Alhaji Ardo Risku Muhammad, and his associate, Yakubu Isa.
The two men were reportedly attacked and killed while returning from a peace meeting in Benue State, an incident that has heightened concerns over the persistent insecurity and communal violence in parts of the state.
According to the police, preliminary investigations led to the arrest of 10 individuals believed to have been linked to the attack. The suspects have been identified as:Titus Thyodenda, 25;Utibe Sam, 20; Owoicho Ameh, 18; Sunday Useni, 21; Sunday Ogbanje, 46; Daniel Raphael, 23; Orduen Hemba, 19; Terwase Uji, 32; Jacob Akase, 28 and Moses Utoo, 30.

The command stated that investigations are ongoing to determine the specific roles played by each suspect in the killings. It assured the public that anyone found culpable would be charged to court and prosecuted in accordance with the law.
The police also urged residents to remain calm and avoid making inflammatory statements capable of escalating tensions, stressing that justice would be pursued through a thorough and impartial investigation.
The killing of Alhaji Ardo Risku Muhammad and Yakubu Isa has drawn widespread attention due to its occurrence shortly after a peace meeting aimed at fostering harmony among communities in the state.
Authorities have reiterated their commitment to uncovering the circumstances surrounding the attack and ensuring that those responsible are held accountable.
