CAN chief warned by presidency
The presidency has advised the General Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria Musa Asake to keep off political issues and stop mutilating the constitution.
“The respected religious leader should stick to his religious duties and leave politics for politicians,” said an official statement from Aso Rock.
The senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity gave the advice in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja.

Responding to a statement credited to Asake who criticised President Muhammadu Buhari for violating the Constitution by being lenient with the Fulani herdsmen killing across the nation, Sheu Garba said there were no cases of any violation of the constitution and there will be none under Buhari.
“Unfortunately, he could not cite any valid cases of constitutional violations.
“President Muhammadu government poses no threat to the country’s democracy and Constitution.
“There are no cases of any violation of our sacred constitution and there will be none under this President.
