29 ships laden with petroleum products, foods expected in Lagos
Twenty nine ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos from Jan. 4 to Jan. 18, 2016.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this in its publication – `Shipping Position’, a copy of which was made available to reporters on Monday in Lagos.
NPA explained that the expected ships contained general cargoes, buck wheat, containers, fresh fish, containers, bulk rice and petrol.
The document noted that 12 other ships had arrived the ports, waiting to berth with various goods.
It stated that eight of the ships would berth with petrol, while others would berth with base oil, bulk gas, aviation fuel and containers.
National Daily reports that 17 other ships are at the ports discharging buck wheat, general cargoes, steel products, soda ash, bulk gypsum, butane, containers, kerosene and petrol.
