Salah will leave Liverpool if they don’t win trophies says Egyptian coach
Mohamed Salah may leave Liverpool “in a season or two” if the club fail to secure silverware, according to Egypt coach Javier Aguirre.
The 26-year-old striker is arguably the Reds’ marquee player on Merseyside following a superb 2017-18 campaign that saw him score 32 goals in 36 league games and fire Jurgen Klopp’s side to the Champions League final.
However, Salah is yet to secure a trophy since his move from Roma at the beginning of last season, while Liverpool themselves have not seen any major honours since the 2011-12 League Cup under Sir Kenny Dalglish.
As such, his international manager Aguirre believes that unless Klopp can turn around the barren fortunes at Anfield, their star player may very well walk to seek silverware at another club.
