APC Convention: Party is supreme, Dada Olusegun says after stepping down
Dada Olusegun, an aspirant for the position of National Youth Leader at the just-concluded National Convention of the All Progressives Congress, has spoken out after his tearful withdrawal from the race.
Based on the consensus agreement of the party, Dayo Isreal had emerged as the National Youth Leader of the party.
In a statement on his Twitter handle, the popular tweep said, “What happened a few hours ago at the Eagle Square is a clear indication that the party will always be supreme. No aspiration is bigger than the party, hence my stepping aside to ensure the party exercise her most preferred mechanism in selecting the youth leader of the party as well as other positions in the party via consensus.”
Olusegun went on to congratulate the new executives of the APC, saying, “Congratulations to our great party #OfficialAPCNg on the successful completion of our convention. Congratulations to our Leader, President #MBuhari, Asiwaju Tinubu, the new leadership of our great party and the entire membership of the APC.”
