Interdenominational Service holds National Christian Centre Marking 2022 Armed Forces Remembrance Day
Interdenominational Christian Service was on Sunday held at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, to mark the 2022 Armed Forces Remembrance Day in Nigeria.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, represented the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, at the service. The Vice President was in Ghana to represent President Muhammadu Buhari at the ECOWAS summit on the crisis in Mali. The Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, and representatives of the service chiefs and the Inspector General of Police were also in attendance.
Other dignitaries in attendance included special envoys, representatives of military organisations in some countries, families of the fallen heroes, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, who gave the vote of thanks before the SGF read the message of Vice President Osinbajo.
Boss Mustapha, reading the message of the vice president, recognized the sacrifices of the Nigerian military to protect the citizens and the territories. He assured of improved conditions of service by the federal government
The Armed Forces Remembrance Day holds on January 15.
