Keke appointed Heartland’s new GM
The Imo State Government has named a substantive management team for Heartland FC which has replaced the recently dissolved one headed by Prince Okey Ibeh.
In a list made available to the media, Oscar Keke is now the new general manager while Tonnex Chukwu has become the general coordinator.
Promise Nwachukwu, another member of the last management retains his position as the Team Manager but will have a deputy, George Okoro who has been named Assistant Team Manager while Nduka Ozuruigbo, Neville Okere, Sunny Black Ogbeka, Solomon Onu, Barrister Chike Onyeacho, Oliver Ajaegbu and Prince Eliza O. Ogbonna are to serve as Finance Officer, Marketing/ Commercial Manager, Assistant Marketing/ Commercial Manager, Media Officer, Legal Adviser, Licensing Officer and International Representative in that order.
The Chairman, Task Force on Sports and the Deputy Speaker, Imo House of Assembly, Honourable Ugonna Ozuruigbo has charged the new Heartland management to return the club to pinnacle of Nigerian football while they have also been urged to ensure that Heartland lift the league trophy again after over 20 years.
I have the orders of the Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha for the new Heartland management to hit the ground running and he has hinted that the club should deliver league trophy to the state in the next league season,” Ozuruigbo said.
Heartland finished seventh in the recently concluded season of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) with 56 points from 38 matches.
