Digital age journalist need uphold professional ethics-Obasa

Flagging off a four days workshop for the Lagos State House of Assembly correspondents (LAHACA), the Speaker of the state Assembly has urge all participants to key into technological advancement in a digital complaint world in order to improve professionalism, charging them to consciously expose bad eggs tarnishing the image of the profession.
Speaking at the annual seminar, Rt. Honourable Mudashiru Obasa noted the aptness of the theme: Dynamics of Digital Tools for Journalism Practice. Harps on the virility of digital tools which journalist must leverage on.
He noted that the nobility of the profession is not in doubt but practitioners should deliberately set out to stall the activities of fake journalist, who goes about blackmailing people with alleged fictitious stories.
Obasa pledges his readiness to do all in his powers to aid the professional journalist’s working conditions.
The resource persons; Taiwo No las Alausa Ph.D and Goke Rauf of the Department of Mass Communication Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta, took turn to dissect the new technological trends in relation to current realities in the burden of national development and the benefits inherent for journalist and journalism.
