Wada stressed the background of the war against corruption and the dwindling resources in the state, saying the era of impunity was gone in the state.
He said there is a need for government functionaries in the state to be disciplined as the era of financial indiscipline and misappropriation was over.
The governor said the equipment were purchased through the joint effort of the state and the 21 local government areas.
According to him, the equipment, which include 12 graders, nine bulldozers, three tractors and one driller were acquired with the fund from the Subsidy Reinvestment Programmes (SURE-P) due to the state and the local government areas.
He said the move was to ensure a drastic reduction in the cost of road construction in the rural areas of the state, adding that it was the beginning of another critical step by government to further develop the state.
Wada added that his administration had embarked on construction and rehabilitation of 58 road projects in the urban and sub-urban areas of the state.
He said the projects include the 16 kilometers Ganaja-Otokoti by-pass road, the Lokoja township road construction aimed at making the state capital a modern one.
The governor however enjoined the people of the state, particularly those in the rural communities to continue to support his administration and give him their votes at the next governorship election.
The commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs in the state, Abubakar Ainiko, said the equipment were selected to meet up with urgent demands of the rural populace.
