Gov Bello signs N130.5bn 2021 Appropriation Act
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has signed the 2021 appropriation act of N130.5 billion into law.
Signing the budget for the 2021 fiscal year, Governor Bello assured that his administration will continue to focus on people-oriented programmes that will have direct impact on livelihoods.
Bello commending the lawmakers for their consideration and timely passage, appealed for cooperation among the organs of government. he promised that the executive will ensure proper implementation of the budget, affirming that the socio-economic welfare of the citizens remains his priority.
Bello stated that he will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the revenue generation profile of the state rises. He maintained that the state would not lockdown the economy in the course of the second wave of coronavirus.
It was indicated that the 2021 budget made provision for damages caused to medical and agricultural wares destroyed by hoodlums in during the #Endsars protest in the state.
