Bank of China to offer Pakistani students internship opportunities
The Bank of China Limited-Pakistan Operations based in the southern Pakistani port city of Karachi says it will provide Pakistani students with internship opportunities.
Wang Jie, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank of China Limited-Pakistan Operations, disclosed this after signing an agreement with the Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi on Wednesday.
He said the internship programme would serve as a window for Pakistani students to learn about Chinese enterprises and pave the way for their future career.
Li Bijian, Consul General of China to Karachi, said that both the Bank of China Limited-Pakistan Operations and the Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi have served as a bridge to promote exchanges and cooperation between China and Pakistan.
He added that the internship programme is innovative win-win cooperation and beneficial exploration to help Pakistani students better understand the culture of Chinese enterprises and learn from China’s development experience.
Muhammad Nasiruddin, Pakistani director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi, thanked the company for the internship opportunity.
He said the program is important for enriching the teaching mechanism of the institute and will further deepen the bilateral relations between the two countries.
