Claims of 41 million members by APC, lies, plot to rig election – Ologbondiyan
Former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan has said the claims that the All Progressives Congress, APC, APC recorded 41 million members is a lie.
Recall that Buhari who spoke at the party’s national convention on Saturday said the record now puts APC as the largest political party in Nigeria.
He noted that the recently recorded numerical strength puts APC at a level where it can win elections easily.
But Kola Ologbondiyan of the PDP who disagreed with Buhari’s claims said APC is set to use the narrative to rig the forthcoming Ekiti, Osun and 2023 general elections.
”The assertion by @OfficialAPCNg that it has registered over 40m members is a fraud. ”This arrogant falsehood has no support from any empirical evidence or data gathering. ”It is another grandiose narrative set to rig the forthcoming Ekiti, Osun and 2023 general elections,
”But Nigerians are wiser. They are used to the deployment of bogus membership figures by APC ahead of elections. After all, APC claimed to have registered over 500,000 members in the Anambra governorship election only to receive 43,000 at the polls.
”Let’s get our PVC and expire this new lie from the hierarchy o.”
