Panic as aggrieved community members reportedly dump a coffin in front of a school
There was mild drama at Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, Delta State, on Wednesday when staff and students were shocked to see a coffin with fetish items at the school’s gate.
According to multiple sources, members of Effurun/Uvwie community dropped the items to express their displeasure at the school’s authorities. “We heard the community members suggested 67 slots for employment at the school and only five slots were approved,” a source said.
Another source who pleaded anonymity said, “The people of Uvwie community are not happy about the current underground employment the school is doing. They say the school doesn’t want to employ qualified Deltans as staff but only admiring those recommended by politicians.
The residents said they’ll continue to express their ang£r by any means possible even if it involves taking the spiritual route.”
