Driver flees as container crashes cart pusher to death in Lagos
A yet-to-be-identified cart pusher has been crushed to death after a container truck fully loaded with concrete stones fell on him at Goye by UBA inward Dopemu area of Lagos.
Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) who disclosed this in a statement said the fatal accid£nt occurred on Sunday, May 28, 2023.
LASTMA official, Badmus Abdul-Akeem, of Zone 32, Dopemu Akowonjo, who led the rescue team disclosed that the victim di€d instantly.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of the container lost full concentration while dragging road on top speed with another trailer before fallen off the road blocking the entire BRT corridor inward Dopemu.
He confirmed that while the driver of the fallen truck ran away, LASTMA officials retrieved a photocopy of his driver’s license at the accid£nt scene.
