Concerns as study finds 55 undeclared elements in COVID-19 vaccines
A group of Argentine scientists identified 55 chemical elements not listed on the package inserts of major COVID-19 vaccines, according to a study published in the International Journal of Vaccine Theory, Practice, and Research.
The vaccines analyzed included Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, CanSino, Sinopharm, and Sputnik V. Among the undeclared elements were 11 heavy metals, such as chromium, arsenic, and nickel, known for their toxic effects, including cancer and organ damage even at low exposure levels.
The study also detected rare earth elements, including lanthanum, cerium, and gadolinium, which are toxic and lesser known to the general public. James Lyons-Weiler, Ph.D., who was not involved in the research, warned of the potential “synergistic toxicity” of these undeclared substances, which may worsen health risks beyond what regulators have disclosed.

The research builds on previous global studies, which had already identified undeclared elements in COVID-19 vaccines. Co-author Dr. Marcela Sangorrín emphasized the urgent need for tighter regulatory oversight, citing a gap in the quality control of biological products.
She called on governments and health organizations to take immediate action, especially given the increasing reports of adverse vaccine reactions.
The researchers’ findings suggest these undeclared elements were not due to contamination but may be a broader issue across vaccine brands.
They urged further studies to verify these findings and called on global health authorities to prioritize vaccine safety in light of the study’s concerning results.
