The Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ebonyi council, has announced a partnership with the Nigeria Police Force in the fight against crime in the state.

The move was discussed during a courtesy visit by the chapel members to the Commissioner of Police in Ebonyi, Mrs. Anthonia Uche-Anya, on Thursday in Abakaliki.

The Commissioner of Police reassured the chapel of the command’s ongoing collaboration with media professionals to ensure Ebonyi remains safe from security threats.

She reaffirmed her commitment to maintaining law and order, stressing that the security of lives and property would remain her top priority.

“When I assumed office here in Ebonyi, I assured the people that my business remains the maintenance of law and order as well as improving the security of lives and property,” Uche-Anya said.
