Prince Olanrewaju Sanusi (PLS) the All Progressives Congress candidate for Amuwo-Odofin Local Government in the July, 12 election has urged Nigerians to be patient with the President Bola Tinubu led administration, adding that they will reap dividend of democracy in no distant time.

Speaking after casting his vote yesterday, Sanusi cited the fact that given the economic indices spotted by economists, the future looks quite good for Nigeria and Nigeians, while appreciating the fact tha though it might not have translated to visible benefits for the people yet.

“Let me sincerely, honestly and wholeheartedly appreciate my father, my leader, and my mentor-Mr. President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Commander in chief Armed Force and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“For his leadership thus far he is God sent.

“Regarding the local government autonomy, in the world today that’s the standard and looking at what the economist are saying for the first time we are getting it right now.

“It is just that people can’t but within short period of time it will materialize for all to see”

National Daily reports that after a keenly contested election coupled with rigorous campaigns and wide range consultation visits PLS won his closest contender, who happens to be a former secretary to the Amuwo Odofin LGA Engr.Seyi Ipinlaye of the Labour Party with an overwhelming vote of 24,926, while the LP candidate polled 1962 votes.

Earlier PLS after casting his votes has expressed his conviction for victory citing the shift of paradigm in the turn out of the electorates for the election.

“Turn out during local government elections have always being low, but today with what I have seen and heard the people now know better and like last election 2023 they have come out in their numbers.

“To cast their votes for the candidate of their choice.”
