Lagos Arewa Chairman Rallies Support for Tinubu’s Government Continuity at Eid-el-kabir
Alhaji Saadu Yusuf Dandare Gulma the Chairman Lagos State Arewa Community in All Progressives Congress has tasked Muslims and Nigerians, to allow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu an hitch free administration.
Saadu Gulma made the call during a chat with newsmen at his residence, after sacrificing a ram to commemorate the Eid-el- Aldha memorial celebration on Wednesday as sanctioned by Prophet Mohammed (SWT).
While counselling faithful that it is not a compulsion for them if they don’t have the means to make the sacrifice, stressed that those who don’t have can go to nearby mosque to participate in the sacrificial exercise.
According to the face of Lagos Arewa- Saadu Gulma, unity and tolerance must be the watch word of any religious and ethnic groups.
He stressed further that ethnic group should cohabit peacefully with one another.
“I preach unity and peace amongst the religious groups whether Muslim, Christian or pagan, I also call on ethnic groups in Nigeria. Let us come together and make peace reign in Nigeria for our children and grand children, because if we continue the way we are I am sorry for all of us.
“We have to come together and become one. It’s only in Nigeria that we have issues like this, go to America they have many tribes but they are making effort to ensure America becomes the giant of the whole world.”
Commenting on the economic situation in Nigeria, he urge Nigerians not to see Tinubu as a magician.
“What has been in a bad state for several years, we can not expect it to be fixed in one day, but by gradual process, let us observe his eight years in government, we should allow Tinubu to finish his tenure then we can then decide if he did well or not.
“When somebody have a plan but you did not allow him implement it, whatever he says you caused will be ascribed to you, because you did not allow him work.
“I am appealing to all Nigerians let us give Asiwaju the benefit of doubt let’s allow Tinubu complete his tenure in office, just like we allowed late President Muhammed Buhari complete his eight years.
“Be you Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa any tribe you belong, let us allow Asiwaju to finish this eight years too. Insha Allah the renewed hope we are looking for will be realized.”
On the economic situation in the country, he urged leaders to review the situation of those who do not have means of survival, and to give the renewed hope policies a human face.
“I urge our Senators and other stakeholders to look at the critical conditions people are in now and make adjustments via government policies.”
